Mother and Daughter

I sat on the couch and had mommy sit in between my legs as I did her hair. We sat there laughing talking about different topics and people. I felt so much closer to her, we could discuss different topics and relate with each other on different topics in life. She gave me advice that I will hold dearly to my heart. At that point I was extremely happy she is my mother and I, her daughter.
Moments like this make me enjoy the different stages of life. I remember eleven years ago, I would have been the one sitting between her legs getting my hair done but there would be no real conversation except me saying, "ouch" and her hushing me. As we grew older, that little moment got more intimate and it made me look forward to having a daughter.
The best part of your child’s life is not when they are cute and adorable and need you for everything. It is when you’ve watched him/her grow up into an admirable young adult, knowing all your sacrifices weren’t in vain and you are now great friends.
I find myself saying I love my mother a lot, it doesn’t matter what wrong she has done to me, all the good greatly outweighs the bad. Today, I look at her in a different light, she’s not just loved because she’s “mommy” but because she is a selfless, loving, amazing and beautiful person right down to her core.

Christianity and Social Networks

On social media, people generally tend to speak of Christianity in a negative light. I've seen persons, for example, a feminist on Twitter, attack Christianity for supporting unequal treatment of the sexes when that is not so. They use the Bible to try and prove their points when the truth is most of these persons when they read the Bible only pick out a few verses and call it a day. They do not study the word of God or go to Bible studies so they can understand God's word the way he intend it to be, neither do they pray for God's assistance in interpreting his word. And why should they? They are not Christians. These people want to disregard and ridicule the word of God and Christianity in general. They use the word of God as a means to an end, which is strengthening their points and invalidating Christianity. We live in a world where people find it easy to glorify sin. Everyone's talking about the music or books that encourages us to make money so we can 'stunt ...
