Keeping Dry Hair Moisturized

I have really dry natural hair and it is a struggle to keep it moisturize. Sadly, that's not the only thing I have to worry about; sometimes my hair break off when styling it. It can get really depressing. So if you're facing the same problems I might have a solution for you. This method has help my hair stay moisturize for longer, thus reducing breaking and my hair has gained a couple inches! Here are steps you can follow to see these results too. 1) Moisturize DAILY There's no going around it. If you have dry hair you must moisturize every day. This can be just spraying your hair with water. However if your hair needs some more attention for it to stay moisturize, the LOC method is perfect. The LOC method requires that you add Liquid, Oil and Cream to your hair in that order. The liquid may be water or a water based product, the oil can be whatever you chose but I prefer castor oil as it is thick and does a great job of locking the moisture in. The...

Gloing Up

I remember when I was younger, I thought I had no personality or sense of style. Nothing that would make me stand out from those around me.   I had cousins who would occasionally visit and I felt happy when they came because they seemed so foreign, just the very air of them made me feel privileged to be in their presence. I admired them and wondered if I could ever be as pretty and as cool as them. As time passed by I grew to love myself and appreciate the little things that form who I am. I am beautiful and cool in my own way. I can’t remember when my mindset changed but I knew it didn’t happen overnight. Now when I see those cousins again I don’t feel inferior or that they’re better than me because I am no longer comparing them with myself; I am uniquely me and they are uniquely them. I do believe that what causes your glow up is not that you have discovered make up, lost some weight or now have some new clothes. But that you accept yourself for who you are an...

Summer 2016

So I know summer officially begins the 30th of June but since there is no seasonal change in the tropics ( I live in Jamaica) my summer begins whenever my school year ends. This year I have an extended summer holiday because school ended May 10. I have so much planned for my summer but a lot of times I get distracted. Here's a list of things I've been doing. 1. Discovering new tv shows or series  I start from season one watching episode after episode because they are so addictive, you just want to know what will happen next. I will not suggest the series I'm watching now because I although it is interesting there are many things that I don't like about it. However these ones are really good. 2. Exercising I'm doing this to get my body toned and also because it's fun and I feel so good afterwards. I workout from home with no equipment with Fitness Blender at least 5 days each week. My core is my main focus but I ensure that I incorporate cardio...
