Christianity and Social Networks

On social media, people generally tend to speak of Christianity in a negative light. I've seen persons, for example, a feminist on Twitter, attack Christianity for supporting unequal treatment of the sexes when that is not so. They use the Bible to try and prove their points when the truth is most of these persons when they read the Bible only pick out a few verses and call it a day. They do not study the word of God or go to Bible studies so they can understand God's word the way he intend it to be, neither do they pray for God's assistance in interpreting his word.
And why should they? They are not Christians. These people want to disregard and ridicule the word of God and Christianity in general. They use the word of God as a means to an end, which is strengthening their points and invalidating Christianity.
We live in a world where people find it easy to glorify sin. Everyone's talking about the music or books that encourages us to make money so we can 'stunt on haters' and live lavishly, have sexual relations with whoever we please and wear whatever we like because it's our bodies.
But as a Christian makes a post about living a holy life: not worshiping material things, waiting until marriage before becoming sexual with our partners or that homosexuality is a sinful lifestyle. People get angry and Christians are called bigots.
How does stating one's Christian beliefs make a person a bigot? When it doesn't correspond to your beliefs? In that case we are all bigots.
My advice to Christians who are on social networking sites whether it be Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, whatever it may be,is to never allow people to make you hide the fact that you are a Christian and what you believe in.
Jesus says in Matthew 10:33 (NIV) But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.
Do not feel the need to sugar coat the Bible. Yes, the Bible does promise blessings, love, favour and grace, however the Bible also condemns unrighteousness in it's many forms.
Pray for those post things to insult Christians instead of saying something insulting in reply or just ignore them. In simplicity just preach Christ and live a life reflecting what you preach. The Bible speaks in depth about this:

2 Timothy 2:14-26
14 Remind people of these things and solemnly charge them before God not to wrangle over words. This is of no benefit; it just brings ruin on those who listen. 15 Make every effort to present yourself before God as a proven worker who does not need to be ashamed, teaching the message of truth accurately. 16 But avoid profane chatter, because those occupied with it will stray further and further into ungodliness, 17 and their message will spread its infection like gangrene. Hymenaeus and Philetus are in this group. 18 They have strayed from the truth by saying that the resurrection has already occurred, and they are undermining some people's faith. 19 However, God's solid foundation remains standing, bearing this seal: "The Lord knows those who are his," and "Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from evil." 20 Now in a great house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also ones made of wood and of clay, and some are for honorable use, but others rather ignoble. 21 So if someone cleanses himself of such behavior, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart, useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. 22 But keep away from youthful passions, and pursue righteousness, faithfulness, love, and peace, in company with others who call on the Lord from a pure heart. 23 But reject foolish and ignorant controversies, because you know they breed fights. 24 And the Lord's slave must not be a fighter but kind toward all, an apt teacher, patient, 25 correcting opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance and then knowledge of the truth 26 and they will come to their senses and escape the devil's trap where they are held captive to do his will.

Continue proclaiming your faith over the internet and in person, make it your duty to win souls for Jesus. xx

  1. We are living by the laws of the new age. We live in a world where situation ethics are dominant. That's why all these things happening, mankind believe that they are Gods and can do whatever they want

Easy Road to Success/Happiness

Today I realized how the accomplishment of a simple goal can make you feel so wonderful. It doesn't have to be something major as long as it is something you have been wanting to do for a while and for some reason you just kept putting it off. When you finally muster the strength to go and cross that thing off your list you get a sense of relief and happiness. Well, that's what happened to me and I'm 90% sure it will happen to you too. Currently I'm attending University and I'm not working but I always love saving which I usually do out of my weekly allowance. But I find myself not being able to keep my savings for more than 3weeks then it's all gone. I knew that I want my saving to be long term so today I went to the bank and deposited a half of my allowance. It felt so good; and I thought, what if everyday I did something like this, crossing something off my to do list. Eventually, I'll be so in love with this feeling and want to keep accomplishing. Prayer

Praying is a way of talking to God,a way of communicating our feelings to him, but most times we are selfish with our prayers. We ask God for what we want, whether it be forgiveness, healing, money or protection and do not pray for others who also need these things. I was guilty of this until one day I prayed for one of my friends who was sick and a bereaved family I did not know, but I knew of the difficult time they were facing. It made me feel great, knowing that at that time prayer was the only way and one of the best ways I could give support and try to help these persons. I just want to encourage you today to remember others in your prayer, especially those who you know are not able to pray for themselves because of their circumstances, non-Christians, bereaved, depressed and the sick. There are many ways to show your love for people, prayer should never be overlooked. Here are some lovely quotes about prayer
